VaughnLive: Is It All Over?

You will know that i’ve stuck by VaughnLive for years, but sadly, it’s come to an end.

In the early days, VaughnLive was a great casting website, but i think the pressure got to much for Mark.

From what i remember as a chilled out dude, Mark suddenly became arrogant beyond belief. To believe that you can do whatever you want, and people will follow like little lap dogs, is not just arrogant, but deluded.

Remember Mark saying that banning’s were only dealt with by Miss Scruffy. Then he publicly overrides Scruffy in stating that Joe Walsh and FoxmanShawn will never cast on Vaughn again.

Then we had the  quote ” people who use adblock are assholes, they hurt us” Well people who limit their browsers to a minimum intrusion are not assholes, but clever.

This is the arrogance Mark Vaughn has. In his eyes, we should be thanking him for having a free casting website. Oh please, if any of you have any brain cells at all, you will realise that the Vaughn’s are doing this for money, nothing else.

Then we have this ridiculous shuffle bollox. SexyChriswhile has left Vaughn because of constantly being shoved at the back, despite having 130+ viewers.

So from now on, UKM will no longer support Vaughnlive or it’s policies.

    Hello Karl

Just recently started reading your blog, and i do love the work you do, i just wonder though, if you ran a website that had a small to medium flow of users everyday would you do it for the love of it and lose money left, right and center OR do it so that you would make money?

Not sticking up for the vaughns, but if they had a cash cow (any anyone else come to think of it) that would not be an issue, but if there is no cash cow and you need to maintain servers and a website, where would you get the money from?

I know if it was me,sponsorship or adverts would be the way to go..

And i think with chris upping sticks from vaughn to ivlog is nothing to do with the shufflebox, where ever he is when casting he would STILL get the viewers, sometimes a bit of misinformation and advice to chris get taken the wrong way (just like the probation officers saying to him he needs get off vaughnlive and other casters saying you need to take a break off vaughn for abit) Which to a normal sane person means – Just sit back and not cast for a bit, and take a breather from it all,but with chris it means going elsewhere- the phrase “the same old shit just a different day” comes to mind..

    1. Hey, welcome along.

It wouldn’t make sense to lose money, and of course he has to run adverts to make money. That’s fine, but should a business owner really be calling his customers (that is basically what his viewers are, no viewers, no ads cash) asshole’s because they sensibly run adblocker?

I have ran websites for years, including streaming sites, and yes, there will always be people that hate on you, as well as love you for what you do. But you just have to ignore it and carry on. But Mark gets way too involved and takes things personally, which often results in innocent people getting punished.

Take this ridiculous ‘shuffle’ that people get if they have a banned person on their Skype. So because, for example, Joe Walsh called Mark a fag or something, Mark gets offended, and anybody who has Joe on their Skype call, pay’s the price for Mark’s pride being hurt and ends up stuck at the back of the bar, like a child being sent to the corner for being naughty. It’s just crazy.

This is part of why Chris left and moved to Ivlog. I think Shawnio was spot on the other day, when he said he couldn’t ever see Chris being banned for threats of violence, or trolling anybody or flashing his bits live on air.But because Chris had Joe Walsh on a Skype call, he was ‘shuffled’ for weeks on end, even though Joe was unbanned and was casting himself. How does that even make sense?

Mark always came across as laid back and chilled out, but these day’s his heads gone i think. I mean, VaughnLive crashes near enough on a daily basis now, yet Mark’s response to somebody who complained was ” people should upgrade their dinosaur pc’s and stop blaming his coding” That was not only embarrassing, but reeks of arrogance. How on earth can an old pc make his chat or video servers crash?

He even went as far as to say that weeks of crashing was down to the server company’s coding, not his, only to then claim ‘he found the problem and re-coded it?

I’ve stuck by both Mark and Lynn, even when they have gone overboard in banning and shit for silly reasons, but even i can’t defend how they are running that site now.

It’s just my opinion, but unless they take a step back and let other staff deal with casters, they are going to run what was once a great website, right in to the ground.

The last couple of months on vaughn there has been some changes, to many T.O.S being made up
There does also seem to be favouritism with certain casters amongst staff.
